Lotus, Water Hyacinth and Tiger Print Midi Shirtdress, Pallava Tiger Garden
$350.00
Description
Cut from lustrous Mashru-inspired viscose, the Pallava Midi Shirtdress takes our signature button-up and lets it grow. The silhouette falls to mid calf, with the Pallava print lovingly placed so the garden lands exactly where intended. A covered placket keeps the front clean, leaving only the gold logo button at the collar stand visible. Waist drawcords allow the shape to be cinched or worn loose, each finished with a removable, hand-beaded floral latkan. The peak collar is edged by hand with 4 mm brass beads, while fold-back cuffs reveal the print within.

In the Pallava print, water hyacinth, lotus and a hummingbird move through tiger stripes, bringing softness, strength and abundance into one garden. Pallava means new growth in Sanskrit. In British English, a palaver is a fuss, something excessive, something that refuses to stay small.
This dress was made for that kind of growth. Cinch it in, let it fall loose, take up the room you need.
You are not finished, you are flowering.

The Story In The Print
Tiger Garden gathers tigers, lotus and hyacinth into one landscape, printed on Mashru viscose with the sheen of silk and the ease of viscose.

A tiger moving through the garden, unhurried. Strength that does not need to announce itself.

Lotus rising from still water and hyacinth in bloom: the flowers of patience and of spring.

A weave inspired by Mashru, the Indian silk-cotton cloth: lustrous on the face, soft against the skin.
