Keli means play, pleasure and joyful pastime in Sanskrit. We chose it for a print born from the childhood memories of our co-founders. For Fatema, an immigrant growing up in England, these cherry blossoms carried a profound uplifting joy and transcendence. For Lily, they appeared across generations of her family through century-old English china, carrying that same joy from one life into another.
The scarf holds something of nature’s abundance: beauty does not become less extraordinary because there is more of it. A flower does not need to be the only flower in the garden to matter.
It says: I am one of many, and still entirely extraordinary. We are each bearers of something universal and joyful, even if we are not that rare thing, or the best thing.
Ignore culture, ordinary is extraordinary. You are the gift, carry joy with you.

The Story In The Print
English Bloom is a garden in full flower, drawn by hand and printed on pure silk twill, with an engineered square for the scarf.

Roses, leaves and wild stems layered into one garden. A print that rewards a second look.

On the scarf the print is engineered to the square, so every flower sits where it should when tied.

Pure silk twill: weight in the hand, glow in the light, a drape that holds the pleat.

Why Ashaki exists
"I make clothes for the woman who is becoming. Every print carries a story, resilience, joy, quiet strength and every stitch is placed by hand, by artisans whose craft carries generations. When you wear Ashaki, you wear that story."
