Description

The Maya Gown blends draped elegance with the sculptural lines of modern eveningwear. It is crafted from fluid Mashru-inspired viscose. A dramatic one-shoulder bodice meets an asymmetric hemline. Inside, a structured corset made of stretch cotton features smocking, boning, and adjustable straps.

The hibiscus speaks of beauty as resilience and power. The parakeet evokes joy and playful freedom. Both are set against a backdrop of red, pointing toward Maya, magic and maternal, tender love. A reminder of how we must speak to self for true growth and becoming. The floral garlands will bring you back mindfully to the moment.

The embroidered version of this dress has hand-beaded hibiscus motifs that flow down the skirt. Each one is created by master artisans using traditional Indian embroidery: Aari, Moti Ka Kaam, Resham threadwork, and Phanda knots. Every detail carries meaning.

This gown is a statement of intention. It is made for the woman who dresses with power, celebration, and meaning.

A word from our founder

Why Maya exists

I made this dress for the woman who is becoming. The hibiscus is her resilience, the parakeet her joy and every stitch is placed by hand, by artisans whose craft carries generations. When you wear Maya, you wear that story.
